Inessa Armand - Inessa Armand, the daughter of an actor, was born in Paris on 8 May, 1874. Her father died when she was only five and she was brought up by an aunt living in Moscow.

Zhenodtel - Alexandra Kollontai and fellow feminist revolutionary Inessa Armand in 1919 together established the Zhenotdel, the first government department for women in the world.

Armand's Legion - Armand's Legion also known as 1st Partisan Corps was formed on June 25, 1778 at Boston, Massachusetts under the command of Colonel Charles Armand Tuffin for service with the Continental Army. The Legion was recruited primarily from foreign volunteers to the American Revolution.
